Ebru started her career as an assistant economist working for a Turkish investment bank before joining Unilever, where she was quickly promoted to business group accountant role for the NAMET region, based in London. From there she moved into the position of strategic assistant to the Group President of the larger AMET region. Ebru’s next strategic move was into the marketing space at Unilever, where she rose to the position of Marketing Director for the Foods division and subsequently Home & Personal Care for the Central Africa region. In her thirteen years at Unilever, she not only gained extensive management experience in diverse business functions and geographical locations, but also developed critical expertise in market development/growth and Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP) business opportunities.

In 2013, Ebru joined RCL FOODS as Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs. Here she played a key role in crafting and launching the RCL FOODS corporate brand internally and externally, and helping set the RCL FOODS agenda for the future through her strategic leadership support. She also played a critical role in crafting RCL FOODS’ Sustainable Business Drive and has been instrumental in channelling significant investments into circular economy initiatives and transforming the company’s traditional CSI approach by creating a separate NPO, the DO MORE FOUNDATION.

Ebru is a strategic thinker who believes in the transformative power of business to solve problems and drive progress. Her business philosophy and passion is to see challenges as opportunities to do things differently, and to find win-win solutions that sustainably benefit all stakeholders.
